Contact us? I don't think so.

I contacted KitchenAid through their website on April 28,2021. That same day, I received a reply asking for my model # (relevant) along with a list of personal information that was completely irrelevant. My question was quite simple, and I was looking for a solution, or a recommendation to a better product of theirs to address my issue. My home address, phone number, etc., didn't seem like information they needed. I answered the questions I was comfortable answering that would not result in endless snail mail "offers" and/or put me on any other mailing lists.

I ended up getting NO reply. I contacted again on May 3, May 7, May 28, and June 7. I've yet to hear from them. Keeping in mind I was clear that I would replace my model with a beefier KitchenAid mixer, I can only assume that if you don't give them enough personal information, they don't want your business.

And now, when I replace it, it will NOT be with a Kitchen Aid mixer.

DISGRACEFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE

Disgraceful Customer Service. The Kitchen Aid kettle I purchased in January was faulty, the lid broke soon after it was used. It was sent back to the manufacturer to be fixed but they were unable to do so. 4 months after my initial complaint and several weeks later without a kettle I am still awaiting a refund/replacement. Customer service is slow, unhelpful and uninterested. I would avoid any purchases from Kitchen Aid. The high price tag for the goods does not reflect the level of service expected from their customer care.

Whirlpool/KitchenAid is a disappointment

I purchased a new home with KitchenAid appliances and had nothing but problems with the microwave/oven combo. After waiting for over 4 months, a service person finally came to troubleshoot the issue and found that the microwave was improperly manufactured and it wasn't repairable. Weeks later, Whirlpool finally called to tell me a replacement microwave/oven combo had been ordered, but they would email me the delivery date later that day. Additionally, they told me the name of the company that would deliver and install the new appliance. Well, I still haven't heard from Whirlpool regarding the delivery date, and the company that they told me would deliver and install the appliance doesn't exist on the internet. Save yourself a big headache and just buy LG.

I hope you don't need help.

5/4/21 Guess I should've read reviews before purchasing my KitchenAid standing mixer. It arrived and I was so excited to make something and was quickly disappointed! The mixer doesn't work until you turn the speed to 4. For the first 2 speeds the motor turns on, but the attachments don't move. I call the number on the registration card for help and after 41 minutes of waiting someone answers and saying I have major appliances and that isn't the right department and she will need to transfer me. I ask if I will be on hold for 41 minutes and she says I don't think so and transfers me. I'm transferred to a line and informed by the system that they are now closed and I will need to call back....

Flat out refused to send me a speed…

Flat out refused to send me a speed switch for my mixer because it was a little over a year old. I told them it was faulty from day one but progressively got worse. A heavy duty $300 mixer should last over a year!! Never again will I purchase a thing from whirlpool

Worst service I have ever received

Where do I start even?

Ordered in October - sent with wrong engraving.
Sent it back - came back broken with no engraving.

They gave me a small part refund and told me to send it back again.

Came back again with no engraving

Told I would get another part refund for the trouble
Got nothing. Told because of Brexit they can't give me a refund and promised a refund of 15% of the price of the product for the trouble,

Chasing, chasing, no response. I finally call them. They tell me no refund at all. As I got the part refund last time. Despite them making mistakes 3 TIMES AND PROMISING ME THE 15%

On top of that they hardly ever answer e-mail and you can never, ever get hold of any managers.

By a long shot the worst company I have ever dealt with in my life.

I had been resisting leaving a review for this long but they have rudely told me I will not be getting the refund THEY promised so this is an incredibly well-deserved review of them.

Infuriating

Infuriating.
Ordered a basic Kitchenaid stand mixer in November, order was lost, then put on back order and I only know this because I actively call their customer service line to check in (which takes 30 mins to an hour each time), they haven't volunteered an update, ever.
Suddenly my phone number AND order number are no longer valid on their automated phone line or live chat... but you can't get anyone on the phone without a verified order profile.
It is now February.
Over three months for a mixer.
No updates, no real people contact with me and now, no record of my order existing.
Easily the worst customer experience I've ever had the displeasure of knowing.

Wait 6 months for KitchenAid oven part

I have a top-of-the-line KitchenAid gas range, KSGB900ESS0, original cost $2,400. Some parts of the oven are no longer in warranty. Two months ago, the oven would not go on and display was showing an error. I contacted the KitchenAid authorized repair. They came on site and determined 2 parts needed to be ordered. It is now 2 months later, and they are still waiting for the part. Every two weeks the authorized repair company would inform us that the part was due in 2 more weeks. I contacted the Whirlpool parts dept., KitchenAid's parent co. And warehouse. They said the part was still not due for another 4 months. Assuming the part arrives in 4 months, this is a total of 6 months without use of the oven.
I contacted KitchenAid several times and spoke to a higher level of support. The outcome was I just have to wait. My suggestion to get the same part, which was available from outside distributors, was not accepted. I suggested to get the part from an existing oven in their warehouse, or to just replace the oven were also rejected.
This is still a current model sold in most appliance stores. There is no reason for KitchenAid to not plan for parts to support their sales and customers. And if circumstances brought about this situation, then KitchenAid should go the extra step and do what is needed to support their customers. Would anyone buy a car from a company who could not get parts? The Kitchen Aid solution to just wait 6 months or more without the use of their oven is unacceptable.

Stay away from Kitchen Aid appliances

We had a Kitchen Aid microwave installed by our builder and after 14 months it has failed. The costs to make the repairs are not worth it - per the repair person. We were hopeful Kitchen Aid would stand behind their product considering it was only out of warranty by 2 months. We were quickly told there was nothing they would do and if we wanted to purchase a new one they would be happy to sell it to us. I have never had dealings with a company that was so dismissive of a customer and does not stand behind their product. In a time where consumers have many options for kitchen appliances - I can assure anyone who reads this review - do not purchase any Kitchen Aid product. I am not sure which is worse, the quality of their product or their customer service.

Appalling customer service - avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs. Quite simply the worst customer service experience that I have ever had. Faulty product still not refunded and getting through to customer services by phone or email is virtually impossible. I have literally never know anything like it. Appalling customer service and clearly I am not alone. Avoid at all costs. A-bys-mal.

We ordered a new KitchenAid dishwasher…

We ordered a new KitchenAid dishwasher and stove on October 22 and received it December 16. On December 27 the dishwasher started a malfunction leaked water flashing lights beeping and would not work. I called for service And was on hold for over two hours, I went online to schedule and found that they were scheduled out already for 28 days ! Finally when we reach someone, they had to have the service provider call us back to get it scheduled. Three days later we get a call from the service provider , who cannot come out for another week! I have had a Bosch dishwasher for many years and never had any problems! I only changed brands because I wanted to get a KitchenAid gas stove and wanted the appliances to be the same brand. Now, I’m reading other reviews and see that this sounds like a consistent problem with the customer service for KitchenAid. Not impressed!
